the truly fascinating inner machinations of reid's mind The message I tried to convey with this collage was just a representation of myself. More or less every aspect of myself is conveyed in one way or another in the collage. There are six pictures in this collage: Myself; My cat; A painting of a lion with a rainbow mane (I draw basically all my free time. Rainbow because I'm LGBT.); Marvel movie theater tickets (I hate movies, but I'm far too emotionally invested in the Marvel universe for my own good-- so I see those.); A replica sword and shield from the Legend of Zelda, and an inflatable globe (I don't play as many video games as I used to but I grew up with them, and especially liked Zelda games and the complex history they had behind them. And the globe because I like real life history too.); A picture I took in DC in 2017 (I really like DC. And dusk. It's cool.) I tried as much as possible to blend the edges of the different pictures together with the eraser/smudge tools, but I still haven't entirely figured out how to work Photoshop. I think it turned out pretty clean all things considered. I think for a first project, using pictures I've taken to convey my personality and interests, It turned out pretty well.
lilac It only just hit me now that both of my selfies are in exactly the same pose. Apparently I only have one decent angle and face. There's a lot of things I can't compare between these two, since the assignments were different- but I think I got a bit better at composition and using color. My old one had lots of bright contrasting colors all over the place, while this one is all muted greens, blues, and pinks. It looks visually way better. I still have no clue how to take selfies though.
