My ceramic tile has a lot of different elements to it. There's the center circles and swirly coils, the dots across the middle, the thin slab rays on the top, and the braided coils on the bottom. As for the actual elements of design, I used shape, mostly. I guess you could say there was some lines in there too, if you count the edges of the rays or the swirls or the lines of dots. For the process: I started with just a 5"x5" slab. I added the circle in the middle, which was originally a slab, but you can't really see it much anymore because I put coils on top of it. Next, I added on the spheres in a line to divide the tile into two sections. Then I added the slab-rays and braids. I'd say this is about a 7 out of 10 stars. I thought it was really nice, but almost everyone else in the class did something way more creative, detailed and interesting than mine. I still like it in the sense that it's really smooth, though.
